Aadi Pooram Special Aval Pal Pongal Recipe
Ingredients:
Ghee: 4 tbsp
Cashews: 15 pcs
Dry Grapes (Raisins): 2 tbsp
Red Aval (Flattened Rice): 150-200 gm
Milk: 750 ml (¾ liter)
Homemade Condensed Milk: 200 ml
Cardamom (Elachi) Powder: A pinch
Procedure:
Heat ghee in a pan.
Add cashews and dry grapes. Fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add red aval and fry lightly for 3-5 minutes.
Pour milk and homemade condensed milk into the pan with the fried aval.
Cook the mixture on medium flame, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and reaches the desired texture.
Add a pinch of cardamom powder for aroma and mix well.
Garnish with the fried cashews and dry grapes. Drizzle a bit of ghee on top for added flavor.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Homemade Condensed Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
Full-fat milk: 500 ml
Raw cane sugar: 1 cup
Baking soda: A pinch
Procedure:
Combine milk and raw cane sugar in a pan.
Heat the mixture on medium flame, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes until it thickens to a creamy consistency.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Add a pinch of baking soda and mix well.
Your homemade condensed milk is ready to use!
