Millet Red Velvet Cake Recipe (with Kaimurruku.com 16 Millets Powder)

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • ½ cup condensed milk

  • 1½ cups warm milk

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • Red food coloring (as needed)

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • 1½ cups Kaimurruku.com 16 Millets Powder

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • ¾ tsp baking powder

  • 1 pinch salt

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 250g cream cheese (softened)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups Cane jaggery

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Batter:

    • In a bowl, whisk butter and condensed milk until soft and fluffy.

    • Add warm milk, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and vinegar. Mix well.

    • In a separate bowl, sift together Kaimurruku.com 16 Millets Powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

    • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.

  2. Baking:

    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

    • Grease and line a cake tin.

    • Pour the batter into the tin and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    • Let the cake cool completely before frosting.

  3. Prepare the Frosting:

    • Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.

    • Add vanilla extract and gradually mix in Cane Jaggery until fluffy.

  4. Assemble the Cake:

    • Spread the frosting over the cooled cake.

    • Slice and enjoy a nutrient-rich and wholesome red velvet cake!


Fruit jam :

Take your favorite fruit and boil it in medium flame & add cane jaggery as per your taste to it , boil it well until it thickens - cool it down and put in a hand mixer and partially grind it
